Wesley House Association
7th Annual Charity Golf
Tournament
It’s More Than A Round of Golf – Tournament Supports Community Outreach
Wesley House
hosted its 7th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Wednesday, July 12th at the Norman K. Probstein Community Golf
Course in Forest Park. The event featured 18 holes of golf,
attendance and contest prizes, an awards banquet and oral auction. This year’s honorary chairs were Kevin
Dolliole, Audrey Jones, J. Kim Tucci, Lewis McKinney, and Luther
Boykins. Arthur “Chink” Washington
was the Tournament Director.
The
Wesley House is a United Way
affiliated organization whose services date back to 1903. Located in the heart of St. Louis city, our
mission is clear; to provide, “…programs that enrich the quality of life for
all who participate”. The organization
serves as a social service agency that offers: senior meal and transportation
services, computer classes, a food pantry, and an after school and summer
program for youth. The agency is also a
meeting place for grassroots organizations, the 21st Ward and area
block units.
This year’s golf
tournament was a huge success. There
were some scattered showers and a few downpours, but all in all, it was a great
day and everyone had a good time. Thank
you to the chairs and committee for their tireless efforts. And of course, a special thanks to our
volunteers and Step Up! St. Louis.
